وفيما يلي بعض استراتيجيات الدكتورة بتسي في التربية والتعليم مع الأطفال عموما ومع المتعثرين دراسيا على وجه الخصوص:
• ابحث عن طريقة جديدة,
• جرب منهجا جديدا،
• راجع طريقتك القديمة،
• راجع طريقتك في تقييم طلابك،
• لا تتوقف أبدا من مراجعة خطواتك،
• اغتنم فرص العمل التعاوني مع الزملاء وأولياء الأمور (work cooperatively with colleagues and parents)،
• إننا يجب أن نتقبل الطفل بأكمله بكل سرور والمعلمة القديرة هي التي تعبر للطفل عن فرحها عندما يتحسن مستواه في أي جانب من الجوانب،
• اجعل الفصل مكانا آمنا وبيئة ثرية ترحب بالإبداع على أساس المرح،
• كوني فخورة بمهنتك كمعلمة لأنها تؤثر في الطفل بوسائل لا يعرفها،
• كل الطلاب يتعلمون بطرائق مختلفة (All children learn differently) ودوري كمعلمة هو البحث عن الطرق الملائمة لتعلم كل طفل.
• الطفل زهرة نامية (rosebuds) تتفتح في فترات مختلفة (bloom at different times) وبداياتها في التفتح والنمو لا تقل روعة عن نهاياتها،
• وظيفة المعلمة هو البحث عن منهج صحيح ومادة تعليمية ملائمة يتجاوب معها الطفل،
• فرص التعلم غير محدودة،
• المعلم متعلم دائم التعلم (lifelong learner).
